SPIDER VEIN TREATMENT

Sclerotherapy can also be used in the treatment of ‘spider veins’. Using a very fine needle, a chemical irritant (sclerosant) is injected into the veins to cause an inflammatory reaction and result in vessel wall irritation. This causes the vessels walls to become adherent and to close.
